Human Rights Associations condemns political genocide

Dozens were detained in 4 cities as part of the investigation against the Democratic Society Congress (DTK). During house raids in Amed, Istanbul, Izmir and Adıyaman, 72 people including 24 lawyers. In evening 21 lawyers were released after they gave statements in the police station. Other people are still in custody. Reactions to the detentions continue. Human Rights Association ( IHD) criticizes political genocide operations, saying; “The freedom and security of individuals are unfortunately violated with impunity.” Freedom Lawyers Association (ÖHD) said “The state thinks that it can attack the Kurds every time it is in trouble and thus ensure its own survival and integrity.”

HRW: Turkey must immediately release Kurdish politician

Human Rights Watch (HRW) confirmed that Turkey’s continued detention of the co-chair of the HDP and eight other parliamentarians is a reminder of the ability of the executive authority in Turkey to influence the judicial procedures.

Amnesty International: TURKEY: POLITICIANS, LAWYERS, ACTIVISTS TARGETED IN NEW WAVE OF MASS ARRESTS

Since mid-September, Turkish police carried out largescale dawn raids across Turkey in which dozens of politicians, political activists, lawyers, and other civil society actors were detained under “terrorism”-related charges. The raids are the latest wave in what has become a routine practice by law enforcement authorities with a significant adverse impact on the exercise of human rights, deepening the climate of fear and repression across the country.

Tahir Elçi case: ‘All negligent public officials should be included’

The Human Rights Joint Platform called for the murder of Tahir Elçi not to be left in the dark. In a statement regarding the case of Tahir Elçi, former President of the Amed (Diyarbakır) Bar Association, who was murdered in 2015, the Human Rights Joint Platform demanded that “all public officials who are responsible for negligence in the murder be included in the case”.

Appeal for 282 corpses buried under sidewalk in Kilyos-Turkey

HDP statement on “helicopter torture” of two Kurdish villagers in Turkey

Urgent call to resolve mounting problems in Hasankeyf

In past years, the ancient city of Hasankeyf attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors each year, offering them the chance to explore the traces of more than 20 civilizations that contributed to the city’s cultural heritage. Hasankeyf – with a history spanning 12,000 years – held a special appeal to visitors from the region as well as to those from western Turkey and every corner of the globe, and this enabled local residents not only to provide for their families but also to share their specialized knowledge of this historic landscape.

HRW: Turkey’s police and watchmen involved in torture

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
