A foreign delegation, including European Parliament deputies, is in Amed to express their support to DTK co-chair Leyla Güven. Sinn Fein and Labour party MEPs Martina Anderson and Julia Ward are part of the delegation which includes also human rights defender Wendy Lyon of Ireland, UK human rights lawyer Margaret Owen and Italian lawyer Simonetta Crisci and Rosella Santi.

Platform to monitor prisons formed in Amed

Amed Bar Association Prisons Commission, Human Rights Association (IHD) Amed Chapter Prisons Commission, Libertarian Lawyers Association (OHD), Diyarbakir Chamber of Medicine Human Rights Commission and Human Rights Foundation Turkey (TIHV) Representation Office have formed a platform to monitor the situation of prisoners on hunger strikes and the practices seen in prisons.

KHRN: Political prisoner Jalalian banned from weekly meeting

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
