Up to 25 years imprisonment sought for Leyla Güven

In the trial against Kurdish politician Leyla Güven, the public prosecutor’s office has requested a sentence of up to 25 years in prison for “founding and directing a terrorist organization”, although the main prosecution witness withdrew her statement.

Family Kurkut: Kemal was murdered once again

The Kurkut family responded to the acquittal in the case of Kemal Kurkut, a 23-year-old university student who was murdered by a policeman in the Newroz celebration in Amed (Diyarbakir) in 2017, stating  that justice is once again murdered.

M. who was kept in Kurubaş Repatriation Center of Provincial Directorate of Migration Management in Van, was subjected to sexual assault of 2 security officers (İ. H. K. and Y. V.) on July 26, 2020.

Key figure in Suruç suicide attack case avoids prosecution

The 16th hearing of the case, in which 33 people lost their lives in an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) suicide attack on 20 July 2015, was held at the Urfa Courthouse 5th Criminal Court. The decision has been made not to prosecute Abdullah Ömer Aslan, one of the key figures in the Suruç suicide attack case.

453 women killed in Turkey over the last 10 months

Four hundred and fifty-three women were killed in Turkey in the first 10 months of the year, according to a report by the the Centre for Sociopolitical Field Studies. The report is prepared by collecting data from various websites, such as the We Will Stop Femicide Platform, Bianet, Jîn News, and the Mesopotamia News Agency.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
