IHD Adana: 500 children abused in 7 months

Human Rights Association (IHD) Adana Chapter Children’s Rights Commission published the Children’s Rights Violations Report for the last 7 months in Adana. The meeting held in the chapter’s offices was attended by rights defenders and Egitim Sen education union’s Adana chapter administrators.

10 more of the detainees were referred to the Urfa Courthouse. Abdullah Buga, Abdurrahman Ciftci, Ahmet Yildirim, Ali Zencirkiran, Kenan Yildirim, Mehmet Kacar, Mehmet Hayri Ciftci, Mustafa Ciftci, Muslum Yildirim and Sinan Yildirim gave their statements to the prosecutor on allegations of “aiding and abetting a terrorist organization” and were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a demand for their “parole”.

Urfa Bar Association: Torture in Halfeti is systematic since 2015

After the clashes in Halfeti, 51 people were detained in Bozova and Halfeti districts and subjected to severe torture and inhuman treatment. Urfa Bar Association published a report on allegations of torture against detainees after what happened in Halfeti on May 18.

The Turkish government has lifted the contact ban for Kurdish People’s Leader Abdullah Öcalan. His lawyers continue to see the ban in effect as only one visit has been approved since the decision made in April.

The mothers who were detained on Thursday and Friday as they were holding a vigil in front of the Bakirköy Prison to draw attention to the hunger strikes and death fasts in prisons against the Imrali isolation were taken to the Istanbul Vatan Police Headquarters Security Department Directorate where they were subjected to strip searches and insults.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
