Secondo quanto riferito dall’Iniziativa per una Turchia senza Mine (Mayinsiz bir Türkiye Girisimi) nelle regioni curde si celano ancora circa un milione di mine – di cui ben 100.000 nelle aree rurali. Le mine terrestri fanno parte delle armi più crudeli che l’uomo abbia mai inventato.

Siti archeologici distrutti da ISIS

Hasekê ha molti siti e monumenti storici. Durante l’occupazione dei mercenari ISIS (Daesh) nella regione, la maggior parte di essi è stata saccheggiata e distrutta. I mercenari furono responsabili, oltre a crimini contro le persone, di crimini contro i siti storici. Molti reperti di questi luoghi furono venduti allo stato turco.

The security camera recordings that showed detainees being tortured in Nusaybin have been erased. Prisoner Hamit Acun spoke in the hearing of the Nusaybin Case and said there was a dignified stance in the name of humanity in Nusaybin. Acun said, “I won’t give up my ideas” and spoke about how they were tortured.

Diga idroelettrica turca lascerà centinaia senza casa, l’antica città di Hasankeyf sommersa dalle acque Centinaia di persone sfollate da un’enorme diga nel sudest della Turchia dovrebbero restare senza casa perché leggi sul reinsediamento impediscono loro di trasferirsi in una nuova città costruita dal governo sopra alle acque del fiume Tigri in crescita.

About us

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
