Sexual Assault of Security Staff at Repatriation Center in Van…: It is learned from the news coverage of November 14, 2020 that, an Iranian woman Z. M. who was kept in Kurubaş Repatriation Center of Provincial Directorate of Migration Management in Van, was subjected to sexual assault of 2 security officers (İ. H. K. and Y. V.) on July 26, 2020.

Two workers from Maxmur refugee camp controversially imprisoned by the KDP

Two workers from Maxmur refugee camp in Iraqi Kurdistan, Mahîr Sêrtî and Eşref Korhan, were imprisoned by the Kurdistan Democratic Party’s (KDP) Asayish security organisation on 25 September whilst on their way to work.

Key figure in Suruç suicide attack case avoids prosecution

The 16th hearing of the case, in which 33 people lost their lives in an Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) suicide attack on 20 July 2015, was held at the Urfa Courthouse 5th Criminal Court. The decision has been made not to prosecute Abdullah Ömer Aslan, one of the key figures in the Suruç suicide attack case.

453 women killed in Turkey over the last 10 months

Four hundred and fifty-three women were killed in Turkey in the first 10 months of the year, according to a report by the the Centre for Sociopolitical Field Studies. The report is prepared by collecting data from various websites, such as the We Will Stop Femicide Platform, Bianet, Jîn News, and the Mesopotamia News Agency.

Kurdish play ‘Bêrû’ banned for the second time

The Şanlıurfa Bar Association has announced that the governorship has banned the Kurdish play Bêrû (Faceless).The Bar Association said that Bêrû, which was expected to be staged in the Tahir Elçi Conference Hall on 14 November, was banned indefinitely by the decision of the Şanlıurfa Governorship in the city centre and other districts on 13 November.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
