Women politicians ask for international cooperation on Turkish crimes

The women in north and east of Syria were considerably mistreated by Turkish occupation and its gangs, especially in the occupied areas, in addition to politicians, lawyers and journalists’ women inside Turkey were exposed to suppress, preventing them to express their views, and arrest them on daily basis.

Amnesty International: TURKEY: POLITICIANS, LAWYERS, ACTIVISTS TARGETED IN NEW WAVE OF MASS ARRESTS

Since mid-September, Turkish police carried out largescale dawn raids across Turkey in which dozens of politicians, political activists, lawyers, and other civil society actors were detained under “terrorism”-related charges. The raids are the latest wave in what has become a routine practice by law enforcement authorities with a significant adverse impact on the exercise of human rights, deepening the climate of fear and repression across the country.

ECPMF calls for the release of four Kurdish journalists

The European Centre for Press and Media Freedom (ECPMF), part of the Media Freedom Rapid Response (MFRR), expressed concern over the arrest of four journalists during a raid on the offices of the pro-Kurdish news agency Mezopotamya Ajansı (MA) in the Turkish province of Van. This was in response to their role in reporting on allegations that Turkish soldiers tortured two civilians, Osman Şiban and Servet Turgut, and threw them out of a helicopter. Turgut later died in hospital.

Ill prisoners are dying

According to the data reported by the Ankara branch of Human Rights Association (İHD) in September 2020, 20 prisoners died in the first nine months of the year. Currently, a large number of ill prisoners are expecting to be released. One of the ill prisoners, Ali Boçnak, died in Patnos L-Type prison on September 24, and his son, Şakir Boçnak, urgently demands the release of other ill prisoners so that other families do not experience the same pain.

Tahir Elçi case: ‘All negligent public officials should be included’

The Human Rights Joint Platform called for the murder of Tahir Elçi not to be left in the dark. In a statement regarding the case of Tahir Elçi, former President of the Amed (Diyarbakır) Bar Association, who was murdered in 2015, the Human Rights Joint Platform demanded that “all public officials who are responsible for negligence in the murder be included in the case”.

Families of Er and Dağ ask president Barzani to halt execution

Families of Abdurrahman Er (Muhammed Beşiksiz) and Mazlum Dağ wrote an open letter to the Kurdistan Regional President Mr. Nechirvan Barzani asking him to halt the execution of the two Kurds. Necmettin Er wrote an open letter to the Kurdistan Regional President Mr. Nechirvan Barzani on behalf of the families of Kurdish youth Abdurrahman Er (Muhammed Beşiksiz) and Mazlum Dağ.

Un prisonnier kurde meurt des suites de lourdes tortures

Un jeune prisonnier kurde est mort, selon sa famille, des suites des tortures qu’il a subies dans une prison de la province de Kırıkkale, en Anatolie centrale. Serkan Tumay, originaire de la province de Bitlis, purgeait une peine de deux ans.

Des ONG appellent les autorités turques à rendre 282 corps de combattants kurdes à leurs familles

Plusieurs Organisations de la société civile ont tenu une conférence de presse commune à Istanbul, concernant 282 corps de combattants kurdes retrouvés en mai dernier sous les trottoirs du cimetière de Kilyos, à Istanbul, après avoir été retirés par l’armée turque du cimetière de Garzan, dans la province kurde de Bitlis.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
