Appeal for 282 corpses buried under sidewalk in Kilyos-Turkey

Law and non-governmental organizations in Istanbul informed the public on 282 bodies buried under sidewalks in Kilyos Cemetery after being removed from Garzan Cemetery in Yukari Ölek village of Bitlis.

25,000 Syrian nationals to be released from al-Hol Camp in general amnesty

The camps and prisons that ISIS fighters and their families stay in are located across Syria’s northeast. The situation of these prisoners is the subject of heated debate. However, as several countries have not taken enough responsibility for the situation, the future status of these prisoners is still unclear.

DFG reports rights violations against journalists in September

The Dicle Fırat Journalists Association (DFG) in Amed published its ‘September Report on Violations of Journalists’. The report said: “In September there was almost no day without repression of journalists. In September access to several websites and and agencies was blocked, the main purpose being that of preventing the dissemination of news not liked by the government. Televisions were also targeted with screen blackouts.”

Four journalists jailed for reporting on the “helicopter torture”

Mezopotamya Agency (MA) Van office and the houses of four journalists in Van province were raided by the police three days ago, October 6. The operation targeted the journalists who documented with a hospital report that villagers Servet Turgut and Osman Şiban, who had been detained by Turkish soldiers during an operation in the rural areas of Çatak district, had been thrown from helicopter.

HDP statement on “helicopter torture” of two Kurdish villagers in Turkey

Feleknas Uca and Hisyar Ozsoy, Co-spokespersons of the HDP (Peoples’ Democratic Party) Foreign Affairs, released a statement on the brutal torture suffered by two Kurdish civilians in the countryside of the Van province.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
