17-year-old Yazidi girl freed from ISIS captivity

According to the Yazidi House (Mala Êzîdiyan) of the Cizîrê region in northern Syria, a Yazidi girl has been freed from the captivity of the jihadist militia ISIS. 17-year-old Leyla Murad I. had been abducted from her residence in Southern Kurdistan/Northern Iraq to an ISIS household during the attack on Shengal in August 2014.

Families launch petition demanding release of prisoners

House arrest and ban on leaving the country for HDP mayors

With the last appointment of trustees, 40 of the 65 municipalities won by HDP were replaced with trustees, 3 of which was metropolitan municipalities while the mayors of 2 province, 32 districts and 4 towns were also replaced by trustees.

Başaran: Effects of the Corona19 crisis on women

Spokeswoman of the HDP’s Women’s Council, Ayşe Acar Başaran spoke at a press conference in Batman about the impact of the corona crisis on women. The MP pointed out that the world has been confronted with the spreading infectious disease Covid-19 since the end of 2019, but that in Turkey the issue has only been discussed since the beginning of March.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
