UN Commission of Inquiry on Syria: Unprecedented levels of displacement and dire conditions for civilians in the Syrian Arab Republic

The armed conflict in the Syrian Arab Republic is far from over as the types of human rights violations continue to multiply , the Commission of Inquiry said in its report published today covering the period between 11 July 2019 to 10 January 2020. After nearly nine years, Syrian women, children and men continue to face unprecedented levels of suffering and pain.

Afrin people denounce Aqiba massacre

Etki: Murders of women are political

Murders and violence against women originating from the policies of the AKP government in Northern Kurdistan and Turkey continue. Hundreds of women are murdered by men every year. According to the Platform to Stop Murders of Women, at least 474 women were killed in 2019 alone. In 2018 the women murdered had been 440 women and in 2016, 304.

ECtHR Lawyer: Demirtaş and Kavala decision must be implemented

İHD Report on the “New Human Rights Action Plan”

Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Justice has been working on “A New Human Rights Action Plan” since 2018. The action plan was announced to the public by the Turkish Presidency within the scope of its second 100-day action plan. It was indicated that a new initiative was underway based on the “Action Plan for the Prevention of Violations of the European Convention on Human Rights” which was actually published in the Official Gazette of 1 March 2014. İHD should, however, underline that the action plan of 2014 was not enforced.

Idlib IDP’s: NE Syria areas are safest in Syria and is the only door opened for us

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
