Turkey’s human rights record reviewed at UN

Turkey’s human rights record is examined by the UN Human Rights Council’s Universal Periodic Review (UPR) Working Group for the third time today. The session at UN Geneva headquarters is attended by UN member states and civil society organizations.

Turkey’s mercenaries cut down 400 olive trees in Afrin

Turkish-backed mercenary groups have cut down numerous olive trees in the village of Kafarjana in Afrin’s Shera district.

According to sources on the ground, the mercenary group Liwa al-Waqas have cut down 400 40-year-old trees in the villages of Sanara and Hakaha in the Shiye district.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
