Working people live more dangerously in Turkey than in other countries: At least 1923 people died at work in the previous year alone. In the past five years, dangerous jobs have cost more than 10,000 workers in Turkey – of which a quarter in the construction sector alone.

Kurdish Politician Mahmut Alinak was sentenced to 50 days in prison by the Kars Criminal Court of Peace for criticising the Imrali Prison system on February 14, 2018 and for requesting the Kars Municipality rename some streets with the names of Musa Anter, Deniz Gezmis, Vedat Aydin, Kemal Akbulut and Oruc Korkmaz.

Yoleri: To be alive doesn’t mean to enjoy rights

Gülseren Yoleri, Human Rights Association (IHD) Istanbul Branch President, told that the short visit with Öcalan was a way to spread confusion among activists on hunger strike. According to Yoleri, the fact that Öcalan lives does not mean that he is not deprived of his rights.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
