An appeal for the annulment of the death sentence for Abdurrahman Er and Mazlum Dağ has been signed by politicians, unionists, MPs, activists in the UK. Senators of the Parliamentary Group Esquerra Republicana – Euskal Herria Bildu at the Spanish Parliament have tabled a question to the Spanish Government about the death sentence.
The Iraqi government, the Turkish occupation, and the Kurdistan Democratic Party did not like the people of Şengal to organize themselves after the genocide crimes committed against them following ISIS’ attacks in August 2014, and they began planning again to control this strategic area on the Syrian-Iraqi border.
After the massacres the Yazidis were subjected to, they began to organize themselves administratively, politically, militarily and socially, and this is what the Kurdistan Democratic Party (KDP) which was a cause of the massacres does not want.
Throughout history, the Yazidis have been subjected to attacks and massacres because of their religion, at the hands of the Arabs and “the Seljuks, the Oghuz, the Mongols, the Tatars, the Ottomans and the Turks, the British, and finally ISIS.”
Kurdish people is considered one of the most an ancient people who settled in Mesopotamia region, whose history dating back thousands of years, and have had major role in the path of the history and democratic civilization, but they are marginalized till the present day,

Families of Abdurrahman Er (Muhammed Beşiksiz) and Mazlum Dağ wrote an open letter to the Kurdistan Regional President Mr. Nechirvan Barzani asking him to halt the execution of the two Kurds.
