Kurdish Kolbar Killed by Iranian Border Guards

Kurdish Kolbar Killed by Iranian Border Guards. “On Thursday, August 13, Iranian border guards at Hangejal area of Baneh County, Kurdistan Province, opened fire on a group of Kurdish Border Porters –known as Kolbar-, killing a young Kolbar Hadi Khedri”, a reliable source told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

The Kolbar was 23 years old, single and from the village of “Zivieh” in Baneh, the source added.

According to statistics compiled by KHRN, since late July, three Kolbars ‘Vazir Mohammadi’, ‘Reza Pourasmail’, and ‘Hadi Khedri’ have been shot dead by border guards in Nosud, Kermanshah Province, Chaldoran, West Azerbaijan Province, and Baneh, Kurdistan Province. Moreover, a Kolbar named ‘Khalid Ghafouri’ has lost his life in a road accident which also resulted in 5 other people being injured.

During this period, two Kolbars were injured as a result of beatings by the border guards in the border areas of Nosud, and a child Kolbar ‘Armin Ahmadi’ was wounded by the border guards in Marivan.
