La Turchia arresta l’artista curdo iraniana Yelda Abbasi

La cantante Yelda Abbasi nativa della provincia settentrionale dell’Iran del Khoroshan era giunta ad Istanbul per la celebrazione del 27 esimo anniversario del Centro culturale della Mesopotamia. L’artista è stata arrestata giovedì notte all’aeroporto di Ataturk di Istanbul.

L’artista si trovava ad Istanbul per partecipare alla celebrazione del 27 esimo anniversario del Mezopotamya Kultur Merkezi (MKM), Centro culturale della Mesopotamia. Sabato 9 dicembre il MKM ha organizzato un evento al centro spettacoli di Bostanci. Yelda Abbasi era giunta in Turchia per unirsi alle celebrazioni dell’importante istituzione. Non è stata fornita nessuna motivazione sulla detenzione di Yelda Abbasi.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
