Un tribunal d’Istanbul a décidé le placement en détention de Turabi Kisin, l’ancien éditeur du quotidien kurde « Özgür Gündem », portant à 36 le nombre des journalistes kurdes emprisonnés depuis 20 décembre.

La colère des kurdes grandit et la rupture avec le régime turc s’annonce ouvertement, après la mort de 35 villageois kurdes. Deux associations des droits de l’homme en Turquie concluent dans un rapport préliminaire qu’il s’agit d’une « exécution extrajudiciaire » et de « massacre collectif », tandis que l’Amnesty International demande une enquête indépendante et transparente sur le meurtre de civils.

ECHR condemns Turkey on conscientious objection right

IHD: 267 political prisoners have serious health problems

According to the report of Human Rights Association (IHD) Central Office Prisons Commission, 267 political prisoners need to be treated outside for being in poor health. Among these unreleased prisoners 36 have a cancer, 17 a heart disease and six have a shrapnel fragments in their bodies.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
