Turkish Parliament received 45 more summary of proceedings against HDP deputies

45 summary of proceedings against 9 HDP MPs and 3 years 9 months prison sentence to Free People Journal Editor in Chief Murat Gülecan.

A number of summary of proceedings against HDP deputies were sent to Parliament. The 45 new applications demanding the lifting of immunity are against 9 HDP deputies, including co-chair Sezai Temelli.

The applications sent to parliament are against the following deputies: Sezai Temelli (1), Serpil Kemalbay (1), Gülistan Kılıç Koçyiğit (1), Nimetullah Erdoğmuş (1), Musa Farisoğulları (1), Ayşe Acar Başaran (1), Pero Dündar (5), Sait Dede (17) and Ömer Öcalan (17).

3 years 9 months prison sentence to Free People Journal Editor in Chief Murat Gülecan

Özgür Halk (Free Folk) Journal Editor in chief Mahmut Gülecan and employee Mevlüt Gür stand trial for “spreading terrorist propaganda”, “praising crime and criminals” and “publicly inciting people to commit a crime”.

The hearing of the case against two journalists was held at the 13th Heavy Penal Court of Istanbul on Thursday. The journalists, both of whom are jailed in scope of another lawsuit, attended the hearing via video conferencing system SEGBIS.

The court acquitted Mevlüt Gür and sentenced Mahmut Gülecan to 3 years and 9 months in prison.
