Woman murdered by husband in Ağrı

In the province Ağrı a woman has been murdered by her husband. The victim is G.L., a mother of three children, who lived in the village of Mendelix (Gözlüce) in the Hewaran (Hamur) district. The offender L.L. fired three shots at her. The woman could not be rescued despite efforts by the ambulance service and emergency doctor.

After the incident the place was sealed off by the Turkish military police (gendarmerie). The perpetrator has been arrested.

At least 29 women murderd in Turkey in March

According to the platform “We will stop the feminicide”, at least 29 women were killed in Turkey in March. In its latest report, the organization points out the increase in domestic violence due to the restrictions in the corona crisis.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
