L’Iniziativa dei giornalisti liberi (ÖGI) ha fatto appello alla partecipazione al processo di Nedim Türfent, corrispondente dell’Agenzia stampa Dicle (Diha) chiusa dichiarando: “Nedim Türfent è un giornalista. Il giornalismo non è un crimine. Nedim Türfent e tutti i giornalisti incarcerati devono essere rilasciati.”

Associazione degli editori turchi: Chiuse 30 case editrici

In un nuovo studio l’Associazione degli editori turchi (TYB) riferisce della repressione dell’industria editrice a seguito dello stato di emergenza. Il rapporto sottolinea che la repressione ha preso di mira quotidiani, riviste e i social media e le così come le case editrici, con 30 case editrici che sono state chiuse da luglio.

TIHV: Il coprifuoco ha interessato 1.5 milioni di persone

Secondo il centro di documentazione della Fondazione dei Diritti Umani di Turchia (THIV), almeno 218 coprifuochi sono stati dichiarati in 10 province e 43 distretti da quando il primo coprifuoco è entrato in vigore il 16 agosto 2015.

Report di Amnesty International sullo stato d’emergenza: i licenziamenti sono arbitrari e politici

Secondo i report pubblicati da Amnesty International, più di 100.000 lavoratori del settore pubblico sono stati licenziati dai decreti KHK dentro allo stato d’emergenza dichiarato in Turchia dopo il tentativo di colpo di Stato del 15 luglio 2016. I lincenziamenti sono arbitrari e hanno un impatto catastrofico sulle vite di queste persone.

Children tortured in prison

More than 40 imprisoned children in the Adana Kürkçüler E Type Closed Prison, known for its officials’ rights violations, tortures, and arbitrary policies, were exiled to other prisons after being beaten and tortured.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
