Two killed, dozens injured during protests in Southern Kurdistan

Reports are coming through of casualties during the growing protests in Southern Kurdistan, Northern Iraq. 17-year-old Ako Selman died in Kifri, Germiyan and a 16-year-old in Chamchamal, Sulaymaniyah.

Prisoner Executed, Civil Rights Activists arrested in Iran

A prisoner executed and another one at the risk of execution in the coming Days. Two civil rights activists taken to prison and a Kolbar shot dead by Iranian border guards this week in Iran.

Plus de 500 personnes du Rojava sont dans les prisons turques

Plus de 500 kurdes originaires du nord de la Syrie se trouvent dans les prisons turques. La plupart d’entre elles ont été kidnappées à Afrin et dans d’autres territoires occupés dans le but d’extorquer des rançons. Si elles ne peuvent pas payer, elles sont remises à la justice turque.

UNISON’s women leaders raise concerns about femicide and violence against women in Turkey

The Union of Public Sector Employees’ (UNISON’s) Falkirk Branch Chair Margaret Cook and UNISON Women’s Network Chair Pat Heron spoke to Yeni Özgür Politika about the work of women’s trade unionists in the United Kingdom and their project of women’s solidarity with Kurdish women activists against misogyny in Turkey. Heron also stated: “We should also make the British government impose sanctions on Turkey”.

Revenue from the olive oil trade in Afrin transferred to militant groups

Economist Çeleng Ömer from Afrin (Efrîn) University has shared images of an olive processing facility in Afrin, in northern Syria, where olive oil is produced. He reports that the revenue from this olive oil production facility – amounting to as much as 100 million USD – has been spent on militant groups.

Afrin Human Rights Organization: Turkey and its mercenaries kidnap 28 people in Afrin in 10 days

War crimes carried out by the Turkish state and its mercenaries, such as kidnapping, harassment, rape, slaughter of women and changes in the demographic structure are increasing by the day in occupied Afrin. The Afrin Human Rights Organization said in a statement that 28 people, including 11 women, were abducted in Afrin in the last 10 days.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
