KHRN: Contact ban for Zeynab Jalalian

For three weeks now, an arbitrary ban on contact has been in effect for Kurdish political prisoner Zeynab Jalalian, who is being held in Iran. According to human rights activists, she is under pressure to “show remorse” and to “cooperate” with the regime.

Kurdish youth is murdered by a Turkish soldier in Hakkari

Serious violations of basic human rights in regards to the right of life are increasing at an alarming rate in Turkey in recent months. In the latest incident, soldiers opened fire on three youngsters who had travelled to their village, Anadağ (Bêruh) in Derecik district of Hakkari (Colemêrg) to pick acorns and have a picnic at 3pm on the afternoon of November.

Prisoner Çetin gets no treatment for cancer

Democratic Local Authorities Board member and Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) activist Sevil Rojbin Çetin was taken to Mardin prison after being tortured by police using dogs for three hours during the political genocide operation carried out in her home on June 27 in Amed.   Prisoner Rojbin Çetin, who is suffering from cancer, is not being treated.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
