Amputation of Kolbar following landmine explosion in Piranshahr

On the evening of Saturday, November 7, a Kurdish border porter–known as Kolbar- named ‘Saber Khezri’ was injured following a landmines Explosion In the border mountain of “Mirgeh Drijan” Piranshahr in West Azerbaijan province’, a local sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

UK politicians, unionists, activists sign appeal Senators table question about Er and Dağ

An appeal for the annulment of the death sentence for Abdurrahman Er and Mazlum Dağ has been signed by politicians, unionists, MPs, activists in the UK. Senators of the Parliamentary Group Esquerra Republicana – Euskal Herria Bildu at the Spanish Parliament have tabled a question to the Spanish Government about the death sentence.

Impunity in Turkey: Police officer fined after killing two children

A court has fined a police officer 19,000 Turkish lira after he killed six-year-old Furkan Yıldırım and seven-year-old Muhammed Yıldırım with a police panzer while they were sleeping in their home.

Number of prisoners in Turkey soars as their conditions worsen

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of prisoners in Turkey has markedly increased in recent times. Human rights defenders have additionally stated that the conditions of prisoners have worsened. TÜİK said that the number of people held in prisons in Turkey reached 291,546 as of 31 December 2019.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
