Elimination of Violence Against Women: Dozens of women murdered or committed suicide in South Kurdistan

According to South Kurdistan Organisation for the Elimination of Violence Against Women, at least 35 women were murdered in the first 9 months of 2019. 57 women committed suicide and 207 others immolated themselves. A balance sheet for the entire year is not available yet.

Keskin: Isolation at Imrali affects the entire society

Sick prisoners in Bolu jail do not receive proper treatment

the Human Rights Association (IHD) Ankara Branch, Nuray Çevirmen, said that there are 457 sick prisoners in the country’s jails. The Sick Prisoners Initiative drew attention to the situation of sick prisoners Mikail Aslan and Engin Sayak, in Bolu F-Type Closed Prison, in the 276th week of their action.

IHD: Safety of the Life; General Social Situation of the Assyrian Villages in the Region

After hearing the situation of Nun Verde Gökmen living alone in the Mor Dimet Church in the Village of Zaz (Izbırak as the changed Turkish name) in Tur Abdin (Midyat region), the Istanbul Branch of Human Rights Association, Committee Against Racism and Discrimination, visited the Nun several times and had telephone conversations and correspondence with Isa Acan, chairman of the Zaz Village Association in Hamburg, starting in July 2017.

Rights violations in Tarsus Prison exposed

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
