KHRA: Iranian forces kill two more kolbars

Iranian pasdaran fired against a group of kolbars (cross-borders workers carrying goods on their shoulder) who were carrying their goods along the border line. Two kolbars lost their lives.

51 political and religious prisoners transferred to the new High-Security Ward of the prison in Iran

On November 19, the Special Guards of Orumiyeh Central Prison entered the political prisoner’s ward and, after inspecting and confiscating a large number of the prisoners’ personal belongings, transferred all 51 political and religious prisoners to a new security ward called Dormitory 10 (Hedayat).

Amputation of Kolbar following landmine explosion in Piranshahr

On the evening of Saturday, November 7, a Kurdish border porter–known as Kolbar- named ‘Saber Khezri’ was injured following a landmines Explosion In the border mountain of “Mirgeh Drijan” Piranshahr in West Azerbaijan province’, a local sources told the Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN).

KHRN report of human rights

Kurdistan Human Rights Network (KHRN) has been informed that, on Sunday, November 1, security forces have raided the family home of two Civilians (Saman Asadhakim and Mohammad Shafeizadeh) at the village of Dewaznav in Sarvabad city and arrested them. The two civilians were then transferred to an unknown location.

Zanko Ahmadi, Zanest Hassannejad, and Soroush Makari were three Kurdish Kolbars killed by the Iranian border guards in the Bajar area of Sardasht, On Monday morning, September 14,2020. Two days later, in an interview with the Iranian state media, the West Azarbaijan border commander described the killed Kolbars as a “border trespasser and supported the killing of these individuals by forces under his command.

Holding Muharram Mourning Ceremonies at Prison Despite Doctor’s Warnings

Despite the widespread outbreak of the coronavirus in the women’s ward of Orumiyeh Central Prison and the transfer of several prisoners with the virus symptoms to the hospital, a mass mourning ceremony is being held in this prison daily by order of prison officials.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
