Maria Arena, Chair of the Subcommittee on Human Rights (DROI) issued the following statement:“We are deeply shocked by the death of lawyer Ebru Timtik in an Istanbul hospital after a 238 days hunger strike. Ms Timtik was sentenced to more than 13 years in prison during a parody of justice.

The hospital, which consists of 16 rooms and 3 units, has a Laboratory Unit, breathing rooms consisting of 6 units, separate treatment units for women and men, an emergency response unit, a disinfection room and an isolation department.

Child offender Arsalan Yassini who was arrested at the age of 17 on the charge of “premeditated murder” and sentenced to “retribution”(execution), was executed at the Orumiyeh Central Prison on August 17.

Womens died in Van, Izmir and Kilis

Ceyda Yüksel, who lived in Bornova, Izmir, was murdered in her house by a man named Serkan Dindar, in the Erciş district of Van. Another woman, P.A., died in suspicious circumstances.

Keskin: Violence against women is legalized by the Turkish state

The Co-chair of the Human Rights Association said that the Justice and Development Party (AKP) sees the Istanbul Agreement as a threat to its policies, and indicated, “We are living in a process in which violence against women is legitimized by the state,”. She called on women to intensify their struggle and struggle.

Woman who took her own life after being raped by soldier buried

Young I.E., who committed suicide after being raped by a Turkish soldier, was buried under heavy police presence. The 18-year-old woman has died after attempting suicide on 16 July in Besiri, Batman.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
