Urfa Bar Association: Torture in Halfeti is systematic since 2015
After the clashes in Halfeti, 51 people were detained in Bozova and Halfeti districts and subjected to severe torture and inhuman treatment. Urfa Bar Association published a report on allegations of torture against detainees after what happened in Halfeti on May 18.

La commission européenne déplore la forte régression des droits humains en Turquie
La Commission européenne a publié mercredi 29 mai son rapport d’évaluation annuelle sur la Turquie et 7 autres États candidats à l’adhésion à l’Union européenne. Concernant la Turquie, elle déplore une régression grave dans les domaines de la liberté d’expression, des droits humains et de l’économie. Lors de la présentation du rapport, le commissaire européen à l’élargissement, Johannes Hahn, a déclaré que l’ouverture de chapitres de négociations avec la Turquie n’était pas envisageable.
