UN experts : Mercenaries in and around the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict zone must be withdrawn

UN human rights experts* noted the agreement reached on 9 November to put an end to hostilities in the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict, and hope that it will lead to sustained peace in the region. They are nonetheless concerned by the use of mercenaries in and around the conflict zone until this agreement was reached, and expressed alarm at the devastating consequences for the civilian population, with little prospects of accountability.

UK politicians, unionists, activists sign appeal Senators table question about Er and Dağ

An appeal for the annulment of the death sentence for Abdurrahman Er and Mazlum Dağ has been signed by politicians, unionists, MPs, activists in the UK. Senators of the Parliamentary Group Esquerra Republicana – Euskal Herria Bildu at the Spanish Parliament have tabled a question to the Spanish Government about the death sentence.

Impunity in Turkey: Police officer fined after killing two children

A court has fined a police officer 19,000 Turkish lira after he killed six-year-old Furkan Yıldırım and seven-year-old Muhammed Yıldırım with a police panzer while they were sleeping in their home.

Number of prisoners in Turkey soars as their conditions worsen

According to the Turkish Statistical Institute (TÜİK), the number of prisoners in Turkey has markedly increased in recent times. Human rights defenders have additionally stated that the conditions of prisoners have worsened. TÜİK said that the number of people held in prisons in Turkey reached 291,546 as of 31 December 2019.

Jurists:Turkey violating international laws, norms in Imrali prison

Human rights activists in ad-Darbasiyah district explained that Turkey is violating international laws and norms in Imrali prison, and is practicing isolation within isolation on the leader Ocalan, calling on human rights organizations to do their duty regarding what Turkey is doing to political detainees.

Dereli reportedly murdered by turkish soldiers in Hakkari

Şerali Dereli (61) was reportedly murdered by soldiers in Duranlar (Awyan) village of Esendere region in Hakkari (Colemerg) in Turkey on 29 October. His family claimed that soldiers opened fire on them as they tried to reach his body. After the incident, footage was publicly released that shed further light on the attack.

Femicide balance sheet for October in Turkey

In Turkey, 21 women fell victim to femicide in October. Another eight women died under suspicious circumstances, according to the platform “We will stop femicide” in Istanbul.

Turkish army prevents fire extinguishing attempts at Gabar and forest in Şırnak

The wildfire at Mount Gabar in the province of Şırnak is spreading more and more. Extinguishing attempts are prevented by the Turkish army. A forest fire broke out in Setkarê village as a result of the fire opened from Kalecik military base in Beytüşşebap district of Şırnak.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
