Protests after attempted rape of a 13-year-old in Şırnak

The attempted rape of a thirteen-year-old girl has triggered protests in Şırnak province. The perpetrator, a staff sergeant in the Turkish army, was overpowered by local residents and has been arrested.

Diyadin Municipality Co-Mayor Betül Yaşar sent to prison

Diyadin Municipality HDP co-mayor Betül Yaşar, who was dismissed by order of the AKP-MHP government, was eventually sent to prison. Yaşar, was detained by the police in the context of the political genocide operation carried out against the party.

AKP builds mosques in front of ruins of Armenian churches

KHRN: Two Kurdish Political Prisoners Executed at Orumiyeh Central Prison

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
