Woman abducted and brutally murdered in Sardasht- Iran

A woman named Sonya Degkan was abducted by four people and tortured to death in Sardasht, Eastern Kurdistan.

Kurdpa Agency reported that Sonya Dagkan was kidnapped from her workplace by 4 people who were her relatives.

The woman is reported to have been taken to a place outside the city and was killed by torture. The incident happened about two weeks ago.

According to the report, the woman’s mother asked the police her whereabouts 10 days after she received no news from her daughter.

The brother and cousin of the young woman were detained on Jan 24 as part of the investigation. Both confessed to murdering Sonya and burying her body in an empty field. The other two perpetrators are being sought.

The autopsy report revealed the young woman had been killed by torture.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.
