Diyadin Municipality Co-Mayor Betül Yaşar sent to prison

Diyadin Municipality HDP co-mayor Betül Yaşar, who was dismissed by order of the AKP-MHP government, was eventually sent to prison. Yaşar, was detained by the police in the context of the political genocide operation carried out against the party.

KHRN: Two Kurdish Political Prisoners Executed at Orumiyeh Central Prison

Political prisoners infected in Van with coronavirus

Four political prisoners in Van have been found to be infected with coronavirus. In Osmaniye, three prisoners from the Nusaybin trial went on hunger strike demanding to be granted medical treatment.

EGE TUHAY-DER: Many ill prisoners are on the threshold of death

The Association for Solidarity with the Prisoners’ Families (EGE TUHAY-DER) said that the restrictions imposed on prisons due to the coronavirus outbreak prevented access to health. Almost 100 ill prisoners have applied to the association in the last four months.

The campaign can be supported by additional signatures. Signatures, reports, pictures and information of actions can be sent to solidarityalive@riseup.net . These will be published on www.solidaritykeepsusalive.org of the campaign, with background information and letters from prisoners.

The Kurdish Center for Human Rights was established in Geneva in 2000, according to the Suisse civil law. In response to the genocide, war crimes and human rights violations occurring across the Kurdish regions of Turkey, Iraq, Iran, Syria.

The KCHR, as a non-profit organization of social utility, was born from the need to  inform the European and Swiss people and the OHCHR on human rights violations against the Kurds via seminars and other dialogue platforms and to attend their meetings; to establish a dialogue with NGO’s, civil movements, associations, government and civil institutions..
